Nothing changes for your account, your plan, or your published workflows. The done-for-you service uses its own read-only connection, which we set up with you during onboarding, so your existing connection and workflows keep running as they are. Why does Dreamlit connect to my database?
Your database is the source of truth about your users. Connecting to it read-only lets Dreamlit build your funnel from real behavior, trigger workflows off real events, and render previews with real rows. You stay in control of the connection.Does Dreamlit change anything in my database?
No. Nothing is installed: no triggers, tables, functions, or schemas. The Dreamlit user is read-only and can’t write, delete, or alter anything. See the technical deep dive.Will it slow down my database?
No. Dreamlit follows your database’s built-in change feed, which is light work for your database and much lighter than repeatedly querying your tables. The one-time read at setup runs in small batches in the background.Which databases are supported?
PostgreSQL 14 or newer with logical replication enabled, which covers Supabase, Neon, Amazon RDS and Aurora, Google Cloud SQL, and most managed providers. See Setup.I have very large tables. Is that a problem?
No. Large tables are read in small batches in the background during setup, and your database keeps serving your app as usual. After setup, Dreamlit only reads new changes.Will setup send anything to my users?
No. Setup never sends anything. Rows that already existed, and changes that happened while Dreamlit was getting ready, shape your funnel but do not start a campaign. Only activity after Dreamlit is ready can trigger a workflow.How do I revoke access?
Remove the connection in your Dreamlit dashboard first, or ask us to, then drop the Dreamlit user in your database. See Removing access.Reliability
What happens if my database is briefly unavailable, or Dreamlit is?
Your database holds the changes until the connection is back. Dreamlit then picks up exactly where it left off. Nothing is missed, and nobody gets the same email twice. See system status for our uptime.What happens if a send fails?
Each workflow step runs durably with automatic retries. Hard failures are escalated to a person on our team, and failed runs can be re-run from the dashboard.Support
